civil Wedding in the House of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn

The civil Wedding of Prince Ludwig (Louis)zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn and Countess Philippa Spannocchi took place on 20. May 2011 in the Gobelin Hall at Sayn Castle. The groom is the third son of Fürst Alxander zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn and his wife Gabriela, née Countess of Schönborn-Wiesentheid the bride one of the daughters of Count Hieronymus Spannocchi and his wife Verena, née Countess of Schönborn-Buchheim.
The couple meet 3 years ago at a hunt host by the brides father. "It was love on first sight  " said the beaming bride after the ceremony. The ceremony took place exactly 3 years and 1 weeks after the first meeting.
The religious Wedding will takle place on 20. August in Austria where the Couple will live.

The Wedding of Princess Anna of Hohenzollern and Roman Goldschmith took place on 01.06.2013 at the maria Himmelfahrts Church at Andernach. Princess anna is a daughter of the late Prince Godehart of Hohenzollern and his wife Heide. Her great-grandfahter Prince Karl Anton of Hohenzollern bought in 1908 Namedy Castle in Andernach-Namedy which is still in Family posession. Therefore this is the seat of this branch of the Family. Yahoo! The sun returned.

There was fog when I woke up this morning, but the power of the sun with no clouds in the sky soon burned it off.  Hot dog!  I hung out a load of laundry, and then got ready to greet my morning visitors. Bridget and John of Travels of John and Bridget….and Fred , finished their camp host volunteer assignment in North Dakota and stopped by for a visit while spending some time in Detroit Lakes.  What a beautiful morning we had for a tour of the refuge. My friend, the young bald eagle, was perched as if on cue by the Chippewa Picnic Area.  I parked the refuge truck, and we were able to walk right under its favorite perch without it spooking off.  It only screamed at us a few times.  We even witnessed a small kettle of northern harriers catching a thermal to spiral up over the Otter Tail River so they could attain altitude to continue their migration south.  It was a stellar morning to be out and about.  We could hear the far off guns of the waterfowl hunters, but we stayed in ar

So-long West Point Lake

It’s been a rather nice 13 night stay I’ve had here at the Holiday COE campground on West Point Lake.  I’ve gotten to see several very historic sites, had a marvelous soak in the warm springs pool, and have basked in my own private little swimming bay each evening before coming inside.  Most of the celebrating crowd made their exodus from the park today so things have really quieted down once again.  I’ve spent the last two days very slowly packing things up to get ready for my departure tomorrow morning. Everything, including cleaning the inside of the rig and doing laundry, has been done.  All that’s left for tomorrow is to unhook the water, electric, and pack away the DISH.  Normally, I stow the DISH the night before leaving, but I’m DVRing several movies tonight with a military theme.  Since it’s Memorial Day, there are lots of those good old was movies like “Sergeant York” and “The Longest Day” on today.  I’m stockpiling some movies in case I don’t have satellite reception
